Dear friends and fans,

In August 2015, we headed into Henson Studios in Hollywood, CA, to record our second album. This new project embodies our new experiences, a year after graduating from the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. Even though we've been separated (geographically), and dedicated to different projects, Holophonor remains a common goal for all of us, and we're very excited to show you what we've been working on!

That said, we're THRILLED to have a very, very special person on board to take the role of producer for this new record: one of our former Monk Institute mentors, ultimate Jazz legend and universal influence and inspiration: Mr. Wayne Shorter.

ph: Alex Chaloff

There really are no words that can describe our excitement (yay!), but we can guarantee that this record will be very, very special.

We'd also like to take this chance to thank all of our supporters, followers, fans, friends and family. A big THANK YOU to all the donors who supported our fundraising campaign to produce this recording. You are as much a part of Holophonor as we are. We can't wait for you to hear our new music, and to see you soon in one of our concerts!

HOLOPHONOR is a fearless collaboration of seven of today’s most dynamic young jazz musicians from all over the U.S. and South America. Their performances feature original music from each member of the group as well as works written collectively. The group manages to combine imaginative compositions with improvisational freedom while still staying accessible to the listener. The members of Holophonor met in 2012 after being selected to attend the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, where they studied under the guidance of jazz legends including Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter. As members of the Monk Institute, the group has performed in Israel, Japan, Sweden and Turkey in addition to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
